I've decided to be less formal with my update releases and just tell you guys about them. Here's Nanaca BONK! 1.5.
This was suppose to be released at a later date, as I wasn't done with implementing the Spy and achievements. But after putting in the Scout, Medic, and Pyro updates, I just had to release. These updates give you far more control over the Sniper rather than leaving it straight to chance. So let's get to the updates.
For the small updates, I cleaned up the HUD a little. The lineup of characters to the right are a little more noticeable as to who they are, since I changed their icons. There are also additions to the UI like the Ubercharge meter and Aerial attacks, which will be discussed later.
The Scout Update
I already released a graphic for this update quite a while ago. The Scout and his Force-a-Nature are used for aerial attacks. The word "AERIAL" will light up blue (if flying up) or red (if falling down). When the text is either of these colors, click the left mouse button to use him. This is the big change in controlling the Sniper, but be warned, you only get 3 aerial strikes going up. Aerial Down will recharge after use. This feature is great for continuing combos (It will contribute to achievements such as Juggle Hero), avoiding Heavies and friendlies, and creating combos by knocking the Sniper into other Boost players.
The Pyro Update
This one is actually half done, as the rest of his update comes in when the Spy is implemented. The Pyro's purpose is to only give you a small boost to continue combos. It's only the bare minimum that he gives, but after testing him for a while, you can really see that the Pyro keeps combos going.
The Medic Update
I really liked this one. This update is what got me excited and back to working on Nanaca BONK! in recent months. The Medic Update gives you a reason to hit the Medic. For starters, the Medic's slowdown feature has been reduced to only 20% from 30%. This is to promote using the Medic in a strategy of filling your new Ubercharge meter. The meter fills up by 25% every time you hit a Medic. At 100%, the Medic will yell "I am fully charged!", and your charge will be ready. To use it, right click the mouse button at any time. The Sniper will turn bright blue, and electricity will sound. For 8 seconds, you get automatic critical hits to all of your Boost players. This includes the newly implemented Scout aerial attacks. Demomen and Medics are not affected by the Kritzkrieg. The greater benefit? The Kritzkrieg can break Heavies. Upon hitting the Heavy, the word "BLOCK!" will appear above his head as he screams in pain.
